Yesterday, while changing Marlot into her Gilly Gals Thanksgiving sweater, I discovered that my favorite outfit, the mystery zip up sweatsuit, had faded on her ear lobes. Her ears are now blue.
I spoke with customer service, and they are sending me a replacement of the outfit, which I will hand wash 3-4 times before putting it on any doll. They suggested trying Oxy 10 on Marlot, and if that didn't work, they would take care of all expenses to send her to the hospital. I told the gal I didn't want to replace her head, and she said they have solutions that can't be purchased in stores. They could try that and then call me if it didn't work.
So, I'm praying the Oxy will work. The gal I spoke with was so sweet. We talked for a while, and I learned she is from WV also-- Angie's own Fayette County to be exact.
Be careful-- don't leave it on too long. Marlot wore this outfit for well over two weeks.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Marisol's meet shirt did that to my PM Lissie's arms. Purple blotches all over both arms. The oxy 10 got it out in less than an hour of direct sun though. LOTS of dark colored clothes stain, you have to be careful with almost all of them
On a lighter note I had a black t-shirt that did this to ME. I wore a brand new shirt without washing it, and when I took it off, the ink had left a black stain in the shape of a tshirt on me. It took days to scrub it off.

I got this outfit for my GD for Christmas. Should I take it out of the box and cold water wash it a couple of times? I won't be around to remind her to change the dolls clothes. And she is to young to wash the outfit herself.

Poor Marlot! Hope the Oxy10 works. After using it on Lindsey's feet, I can barely see the red marks from the club espadrilles! The marks have really faded, so if I try it again with Oxy, it might come out all the way.

I'm sorry to hear about Marlot being stained, but thanks for the warning! My twins haven't been out of their zip sweatsuits since they changed into them the day they arrived in September. Thankfully neither appear to have been stained.
Let us know if the Oxy 10 works.

Can someone post what happened after washing it a couple of times? I've been considering getting that but not if it will ruin my dolls!

Yikes! Lily just had that outfit on and has had it on for about two weeks! Needless to say after reading that she was taken out of the sweatsuit, seems to be okay, and now patiently waits to be dressed into something warm! Thanks for the warning!
